Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect for my first massage?
We ask that you come for your session ten minutes ahead of your scheduled time and be clean and free of odor/dirt/debris/perfumes, etc.  The treatment room is typically quite with soft music playing.  The massage table has flannel sheets and a table warmer for your comfort.  Many people choose to undress fully while other leave on their undergarments and is strictly the client's choice. This is done while the therapist is not in the room.  You will be instructed as to how to get on the table and get under the sheet.  As you remain fully covered, only a small body area, i.e. an arm, will be brought above the sheet to receive the massage.  We adhere to very strict draping policies.  At no time will unnecessary exposure of or by the client be allowed.

How do I book my appointment?

You may schedule your appointment via phone, email, text message, through Facebook or LinkedIn, whatever is most convenient for you.  Please remember to specify your preference for what day of the week and times of day are best for you.

What is your tipping policy?
In short, gratuities are accepted and appreciated and are discretionary. Gratuities are common at $10-$25 for an hour session. This being said, we understand that massage therapy services cross two industries.  For many, massage therapy is considered  a medical-type appointment and do not feel it necessary to tip.  To others, it falls under a "pampering or feel good" service and like any service industry.   The important part in determining whether or not to give a gratuity, is if you feel the service met or exceeded your needs and expectations. We appreciate your business whether or not you are able to tip. If paying by credit card, please inform as to the amount of the gratuity before the card is processed.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cannot make your scheduled appointment for any reason, notification 48-hours in advance is required or full charges will apply.
Sorry, no exceptions.

Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance at this time.  We will however be happy to provide a receipt with proper insurance billing codes when appropriate so you can submit it in your own.  Many people are able to use their flex or HSA accounts for massage therapy, so this may be an option for you.

Allergies?
If you have allergies, please inform us when making the appointment so we can accommodate your needs.  Our lotions are all natural, hand blended, vibrationally balanced.  Essential oils are used for fragrance, nothing artificial is ever used.  We ask that you not wear scented products into the office such as perfumes or body sprays to respect others who have allergies or sensitivities.
