KATHLEEN M. FANNING
Owner

In 1998, having survived the corporate grind of long hours, drive-thru windows, smoking, Kathleen became a vegetarian. For more than fifteen years, Kathleen M. Fanning has devoted her energy to healthy living. She now assists others in their desire for a better life.

She started out her career in health as a paramedic in 1999, and then became a massage therapist in 2004. After graduation, India called to Kathleen. She volunteered in an orphanage, providing massage for children with Polio, English and computer tutoring. Her journey included a 21 day process to Oneness University where Deeksha became part of her life. It was here that Kathleen experienced so many amazing things including altered states of consciousness and pure limitlessness. Since September of 2004, Kathleen has provided Deeksha to hundreds of people and has seen many truly divine changes take place.

In an effort to assist her clients in a truly holistic way, in 2008, Kathleen became a certified personal trainer. In 2009, Kathleen enhanced her alternative health services by becoming a certified health counselor. With this well rounded background, Kathleen is happy to assist you in transforming your whole self.

In 2010, Kathleen added formal teaching to her official resume. Although she has been an educator for most of her professional life, teaching at the college level and running a massage therapy program has brought incredible experiences to Kathleen's personal and professional life. Often Kathleen has been heard teaching to her students that it is "not about depth but about detail." It has been Kathleen's goal to assist her students into the highest quality therapists possible.

Kathleen grew out of her childhood obesity, has had low back/disc problems and was a chronic migraine sufferer among other issues. Through the proper nutrition, exercise, and spiritual practices, Kathleen maintains her health and balance by making the right choices each day…and she can help you do the same.

JESSICA THOMPSON

Massage Therapy isn’t something Jessica has always wanted to do. Massage didn’t even cross her mind as a career choice until her mom sat her down and asked what she was really good at. A question that is always asked when deciding on a career choice, however; it was never really thought about it in depth by her.

After spending a year and a half trying to get excited about her major at Waubonsee Community College, she realized she was wasting her time. So she changed majors and changed schools.

After a short time researching schools, she ended up at Rasmussen College in January 2009. The atmosphere was quiet and light-hearted. Teachers and students seemed to care about their grades and jobs, and Jessica felt like she was right were she needed to be.

With short-notice Jessica’s mentor had left to pursue a new life in Oregon and Kathleen had entered at the best time possible. Jessica took Kathleen’s words with great detail and determination and put everything she could into becoming the best massage therapist for her and her future clients.
Jessica graduated from Rasmussen College in September of 2011. Jessica specializes in treating each client's individual needs with relaxing massage and deep tissue therapies including myofascial and trigger point work.

EMILY FARRELL

Emily has wanted to be a Massage Therapist since the age of 18 when she first started receiving bodywork for chronic back problems. But life happens and she married and began a family knowing that one day she would become a Massage Therapist. Thanks to the major influences in her life, especially her chiropractor, her dream was kept alive.

After being a stay at home mom to four wonderful children for 14 years, she began an adventure to complete her college education. After two and one-half years in September of 2012, she fulfilled Rasmussen College's program and received her Associate's in Applied Science with a major of Massage Therapy. Her crowning academic achievement came in the form of a final award of being placed on the Dean's List with a final GPA of 3.97: this is a source of great joy since she has struggled with learning disabilities her entire life.

Emily has a gentle and nurturing touch and always keeps her clients her main focus. She listens to their needs and uses her knowledge to help them either relax or to heal. Her technique is beneficial for someone who is under copious amounts of stress or who may be struggling with insomnia. She has found great joy in fulfilling her vocation as a Massage Therapist, because she gains great joy by serving others.
